What a PvP Duel Game Is, and Is Not
How a two-player duel differs from a crash game, a slot, and the other products sharing the name.
The defining property is your counterparty
In a crash game you play against a curve. A multiplier climbs, you decide when to cash out, and the curve breaks at a point the operator generated. Everyone in the round faces the same curve and the operator is on the other side of every bet.
In a duel you play against one other person. The stake is matched, the pot is formed from both stakes, and one of you takes it. The operator is not your counterparty. It takes a fee from the pot and has no position on which of you wins.
That single difference propagates through everything else: how the cost is charged, whether skill can matter, and what a fairness proof needs to establish.
Where the money goes
A house edge describes an expected cost under a game's probability model, not a separate guaranteed deduction from every individual payout. In Blinko, the explicit round charge is a rake taken from the combined stakes when a duel settles.
A duel charges a rake on the settled pot. At a 10.00 USDT tier the pot is 20.00, the rake is 1.00, and the winner takes 19.00 — set out in what playing actually costs. If the round is cancelled, no pot settles and no rake is taken.
The practical consequence is that in a duel your losses go mostly to another player, not to the operator. That does not make them smaller. It does mean the operator's incentive is volume rather than your defeat, which is a meaningfully different relationship.
Whether skill matters
Blinko does not offer a cash-out button or a multiplier that you can collect mid-round. The action is passing the charge after the minimum hold allows it. The round ends with the charge on one side, rather than with each player independently choosing a payout.
The hidden blast point is derived from committed inputs. Pass timing changes how long the charge is held on each side, but the effect depends on the opponent and on when the server receives each action. A hidden threshold is not a personal 50/50 win-rate guarantee.
The timing explanation describes the effect of holding the charge. It is not evidence that any particular player can beat the fee sustainably. Latency mitigation reduces some timing disadvantages but does not make every network identical. The displayed stake and payout remain the economic terms, whatever strategy either player chooses.
What a duel needs to prove
For the random derivation, first check that the disclosed server seed matches a commitment recorded before play. Then reproduce the hidden threshold and initial holder from the round's complete inputs. A matching result from values all supplied after the round is not evidence of when the commitment existed.
Both players contribute seeds to a server-authoritative PvP round. The protocol binds those contributions to the match context rather than allowing a player to choose a favourable hidden threshold during play. Players still influence gameplay through their actions; a proof must not be described as proving that nobody influenced the entire match outcome.
The construction binds the match identifier, round identifier, both client seeds and two counters before deriving the values. This check does not independently audit network delivery, every server event, account security or payment processing. The verification guide explains the boundary.
Not the other Blinkos
Several unrelated products share this name. There is a note-taking application, an app-store title, and a family of Plinko ball-drop games, which are a different mechanic entirely — a ball falls through pegs into a payout slot, against a machine.
